The application of non-ferrous metallurgical rotary kiln is wider & wider
Rotary kiln take an important role in non-ferrous metallurgy production which is used for calcination of ore, fining ore, half-product. The size of kiln is main sign of capacity. Complying with development of non-ferrous industry in China, the demand of rotary kiln is more and the size of kiln is larger. Aluminum smelting is the first step for aluminum oxide production. During the process of aluminum oxide calcination, raw meal batched from bauxite, lime and alkali, etc. is calcined to clinker. Calcining process is finished in rotary kiln, the temperature should be about 1300℃. The last step of aluminum oxide production is to calcine aluminum hydroxide into aluminum oxide, at present, normally rotary kiln should be used, the calcining temperature is 1200~1250℃.
Others, waste slag produced during the process of aluminum oxide production- red mud will be mainly used to produce red mud cement. So the aluminum oxide factory will attach a large red mud cement plant using rotary kiln.

Rotary kiln is also used for drying clay, limestone and slag, during refractory material production, rotary kiln is used to calcine the raw material which gets stable dimension and stronger strength, then they will be made into shape.
